Monster - no horror!
Normally monsters are horrifying and ugly creatures from another dark world.
Patrick Preller's monsters are different. They are always nice, happy and friendly, they appear in different situations in our normal life and spread a good mood. They bring color into boring life, and make you smile.
The form of the monsters are unique and there are no anatomic rules. They metamorphasize as they want and as they need. So the monsters can look like a christmas tree or like a car or a plant.
The monsters are made of different materials, but the artist's favorite material is steel. Even if they are made of other materials like wood, plastic or digital imagery you always recognize them.
So they apear everywhere: in parks, in gardens, in the livingroom at the office.....
